Dear God,
If I were, to be honest, I would say that I do not know where to begin, what to say or how to even organise my thoughts right now.
I should have known better than to have written to an unknown benevolent ear I had hoped for. I should have known that it was you who was with me all this time. I should have known, as the heavens on high fully know me, and by my heavenly Father. I should have known, that after all this time, it was you that I needed as my listening ear.
We are all made for relationships – a covenant that was to be from the very beginning. I was made for that alone, to know you just as you are kind and gentle.
To know you Oh God just as you know me – to commune with the one whom I love, and the one whom I can do all things. For it is stated in your word:
“I can do all this through him who gives me strength.”
Philippians 4:13 NIV
What then should I say oh God? What then can I say will shake me? For it is stated in your word:
“Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from him. Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken.”
Psalm 62:1-2 NIV
Your love for me is an everlasting love. Your love is an unquenchable fire. Your love is a kept promise. Surely you love me, and surely I can remain confident in your love, for it is stated in your word:
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Romans 8:28, 37-39 NIV
Surely I will say then: I am made victorious in love through grace, by faith. Surely I will say, you are good.
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.”
Ephesians 2:8-9 NIV
“And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified. What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?”
Romans 8:30-31 NIV
Surely then I will tell my heart, courage. For love has won me over.
“And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.”
1 John 4:16 NIV
“There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.”
1 John 4:18 NIV
I am made for God. I am made for love.
Love, Ka Wai
